Add to Egypt's Great Dead- the Internet

Security sources confirm that Egypt's shutting down of their internet is the world's worst in internet history. 97% if the internet has been severed in Egypt which has disrupted social networking sites such as Facebook and twitter but the cell phone service has also lost signal. The only carrier supplying any internet capability at this time is the Noor Group which supposedly connects Egypt's Government and banking organizations to the world wide web.

The internet was cut off Thursday at 2234 GMT simultaneously with four major internet providers whom have said they have a legal obligation to respond to such requests. World leaders have urged Egypt to restore the internet and the social networking sites but it appears the country's leader is ignoring any requests. The unrest continues as people are defying curfews to protest.

The implications are great as not only social networking sites are down but also the ability to communicate in times of health and welfare.

Also people referring to the internet to do business and carry-on business has been disrupted which could have devastating effects on the economy. PC Virus Doctors depend on the internet to perform computer repair and laptop repair on software systems and we would also be crippled if such events took place.
