How Egyptions Stayed Connected

The Egyptians still had a few ways to communicate although they were struck down by lack of internet due to the Government demanding the ISPs cut the channels. Several old school ways of communication allowed the few dedicated techs to accomplish 'work-arounds' to the blacked out internet.

One of the old school ways was to revert to ham radio which allows voice and also data communications although data can be much slower than through wires. Another old school technique was for the Egyptians to resort to dial-up where they were able to connect through outside connections.

A set of instructions was available on 24-7israel.com. The dialup connections allowed some Egyptians to remain connected if they were able to access the dialup information or have it delivered to them via ham radio or a set of instructions printed and hand-delivered.

The crisis that appears to be continuing although the internet has reportedly been restored. Perhaps now they are able to restore and repair their computers if they received cyber attacks prior to the internet going down. They can download antimalware signatures and perform computer repair and laptop repair if the opposition was able to successfully infect and damage computers before chaos errupted.
