Laptop Repair Dallas- Hard Drive Repairs

Hard drive failure is common in older PCs and laptops which was evident recently with an HP hv6000 laptop. These type drives are an affordable repair, actually replacement, that generally greatly improves performance with a new drive versus a failing drive. PCVD can easily replace drives and copy the old information from the original drive for a reasonable price.

Data can also be copied to a customers external drive then a new operating system can be installed with the latest antivirus programs and malware scanners then updated with the latest security signatures. The data copied to the external drive will assist the new drive with more available drive space and less files to handle which has the potential for significant performance.

Solid-state drives are quickly emerging with more reasonably data storage on laptop drives that currently may be found for around $120 for a 64Gb drive. The life on these drives are definitely longer but of course need to be taken care of physically, meaning limited blunt-force, keeping the unit dry, etc. Also, the new solid-state drives would still be subject to malware.
