PC Virus Doctors are able to repair Dell laptop dc jacks within about three days. The reason for the delay is that the exact dc jack must be ordered as no dc jacks are available within Dallas.
These dc jack are soldered on the board and are not easy to remove. Currently we are using a third party to remove the dc jacks because of the high silver content that is hard to melt much less remove.
