Dallas Computer Repair Addresses PC Security

In a 60 Minutes report on national cyber security, the news was quite bleak affecting our national cyber defense. Many of our military and civilian installations have been hacked and are vulnerable to attacks, according to the article. This is startling news as our bank accounts can be hacked, along with electric companies where electric could be shut down, water facilities could be hacked and water cut off to entire cities, and this problem goes on and on.
Personal computer users can do their part in ameliorating potential problems by installing the following computer utilities, understanding how these utilities work and using the PC utilities to their fullest potential.
  • Firewalls
  • Anti-virus
  • Anti-spyware
We can only do our part of citizens but utilizing the above utilities whether you buy hardware firewalls or use software as firewalls, keep antiviruses installed, updated and running along with anti-spyware then you are doing your part. US citizens are obliged to take care of our network so we can continue to buy and do other business on the internet.
